Aranya Art Center officially opened to the public on 24 May 2019, celebrating its 5th anniversary this month. Over the past five years, Aranya Art Center has presented a total of 18 exhibitions, including the first solo museum exhibitions in China by internationally renowned artists such as Anselm Reyle, Sylvie Fleury, and Gabriel Kuri; comprehensive solo exhibitions by Chinese artists such as Tao Hui and Jiang Zhi; the first solo exhibitions of emerging artists, such as Michelle Wang Yiyi and Han Qian; and group exhibitions such as Long Day, Etudes and How Far, How Close.
Over the past five years, Aranya Art Center has welcomed 800,000+ visitors and organized 200+ public events. Aranya Art Center would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to all the visitors; to every participating artist, guest curator, collaborator and sponsor, as well as to every colleague and partner who has been involved in the activities of Aranya Art Center.
